3 Night 4 Day
Hamta Pass sits at an altitude of 4270 m on the Pir Panjal home in the Himalayas. It’s a little corridor between Lahaul’s Chandra Valley and the Kullu valley of Himachal Pradesh, India.
Arrival at base Himtrek Manali. Today, you can spend your day at leisure and relax. Though we recommend you explore the lanes of Old Manali- its cafes, hippie culture, and liberating vibes. You can also go for cafe hopping. Don’t miss out on Shakshuka, taste-buds teasing Trout, Dylan’s coffee, and much more. Return to the campsite for dinner and get well-rested before your trek.
Drive to Prini (2015m) 7 km further from Manali, Prini to Chalet (2430m) | 5hour trek
Early in the morning, you’d leave for Pirni and your trek will begin from there. The trek is steeped up through the village until you reach a wooden temple within the forest. it's advised to hold a hiking pole alongside to avoid exertion. From the temple, the trek goes continuously up through the shadows of pine trees, lush meadows, and cool breeze and offers an attractive view of Manali from the mountain ditch. Stay overnight at the Homestay and rejuvenate yourself with mouthwatering food for the next adventurous day.
After breakfast, we will leave at a reasonable time for you to enjoy the trek in its pristine form. Today the trail would expectedly be covered with snow. On one side of the pass lies the lush green Kullu valley and on the other side is the stark opposite desert valley of Lahaul.
Enjoy the snowy trail and indulge in some snow activities. After some time, we will trek back from the same route. Reach the campsite and enjoy the evening with a piping hot dinner around the warmth of the bonfire.
After breakfast, we will depart from Chalet Village and trek back to Prini. From there, you will be left in Manali. And in no time, it will be time to bid adieu to this wonderful trip.
