Kheerganga is one of the most attractive trekking points wrapped in the beautiful view of the mountains. It is a unique Himalayan trek in which you are rewarded with excellent meadows, forested ways with pine trees, a couple of cascades, and crossing towns on reaching the summit at almost 10,000 feet.

If you are religious or if you enjoy going to places having religious history, this would be the perfect choice for you. The place holds a breathtaking site – Parvati Kund– The holy hot water spring, just what you need to experience when the weather is too cold.

If you are a solo traveler, Kheerganga, located in Parvati Valley (Kullu Valley), is one of the best choices for you. Kasol is a small village near Kheerganga which offers breathtaking views. The distance from Kheerganga to Kasol is 32kms. The trek from the Kheerganga to Barsheni takes approximately 4-5 hours. One should not miss these places while visiting Himachal Pradesh.

Kheerganga Trek Weather

The month of July to September is not suitable to visit these places as the monsoon season hits the floor differently, which is quite dangerous for traveling. The place gets slippery during this season.

Kheerganga Trek Itinerary

• Day 1- Barshaini to Kheerganga

Barshaini is the place where trekking begins. This trek is 12km along the Parvati River.
Once you reach the green meadows of Kheerganga, don’t forget to relax your tired body in the hot water spring. And how is it possible in India to not have a temple in a hill station? In Barshaini, you will find a beautiful temple that will make provide you with inner peace with a blissful environment.

Dinner and overnight stay in the Kheerganga camp.

• Day 2 – Kheerganga to Barshaini

Wake up with a gorgeous sunrise. Have a healthy breakfast and get ready for the Barshaini again. Prepare your mind to end the journey with a lot of unforgettable memories.

How to reach Barshaini ?

By Taxi – ₹1200/- for 4 Seater Cab or ₹1500/- Six Seater cab

Regular Buses and Taxis will be available from Kasol. Travelers after reaching Barshaini, where the trek starts, can park their vehicles at Barshaini for further trekking to Kheerganga. And of course, the trekking will begin with a good light walk!
