Hampta Pass Circuit Overview

Hamta Pass sits at an altitude of 4270 m on the Pir Panjal home in the Himalayas. it’s a little corridor between Lahaul’s Chandra Valley and therefore the Kullu valley of Himachal Pradesh, India.

The nomenclature of the trek was derived from Hampta Village, located below Sethan village, as a part of the trek route.

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Manali
After arriving in Manali get transferred to your respective hotels to shower from the tiresome journey. Settled at an elevation of 6,725 feet, Manali is renowned for its gorgeous environs and laid-back culture. In summers, the weather here remains pleasant, which makes it promising for people to participate in trekking and adventure sports like paragliding, etc. Your trek leader are going to be briefing you about the do's and don’ts of the trek. And also, you'll have a whole day for exploring the nearby delights of this quaint town.
Your stay for overnight would be arranged within the camp settled within the same area.

Day 2

Drive to Jagatsukh (2015m) 7 km faraway from Manali, Jagatsukh to Tilgan (2430m) | 5hour trek
As soon because the morning unfolds, we leave for Jagatsukh from where your trek by walking would begin. The trek is sort of steep up through the village until we reach a wooden temple within the forest. it's advised to hold a hiking pole along side you, as you would possibly provides a little exertion to your knee. From the temple, the trek goes continuously up through the shadows of pine trees, lush meadows, cool breeze and offer an attractive view of Manali from the mountain ditch. Stay overnight at the campsite and let your body regain the lost energy.

Day 3

Tilgan to Sarotu (3380m) | 5 - 6 hours trek
The trek to Tilgan is more gradual and is elevated at an altitude of three ,380 m above the ocean level. At daybreak, we might cross a river and later hike through the forest. Thereafter, the trek goes up again and passes through a short lived settlement of farmers who come to the lower mountain region during snowfall and harsh weather . Campsite of today is settled at a tremendous location surrounded by the magnificent view of the Himalayan Mountains. Sleep within the lush-green pasturelands and absorb the great vibes of the enthralling atmosphere around you. Click pictures or just enjoys the sweetness of nature.


Day 4

Sarotu full day hike a maximum distance of 4200m
Today the hike is demanding and steep as you would like to hike a maximum distance of 4,200 m on the snow. The temperature up in Sarotu are going to be low so you would like to stay yourself warm and hydrated throughout the journey. Wear thermal clothes to stay your body warm. Carry medications along side you only as a precautionary measure.

Day 5

Chikka or Sarotu to Manali | 5 hours trek
As soon because the morning unfolds, we'll leave for the remaining a part of the journey. The trek from here runs down through the valley and alpine forest. While descending, you'd encounter a water dam where we might rest for a short time to possess lunch and gain back the drained energy. it's easy to descend, but one should remember to try to to it slowly because it hurt your knee afterward . From the dam, we'll be heading to Chochaga village which is simply opposite to New Manali.

Glad I did this trek with Lazy Monks

It was overall a great experience with Lazy Monk Adventure. They were warm, welcoming and very patient with us considering it was the first trek for our entire group.

Wonderful and Outstanding

Just amazing, each day a new landscape. The guides were wonderful. Terk with Lazy Monk adventure was totally wonderful. Skilled mountaineers with a sense of humor. Unforgettabl experience.
