Located at a distance of 380 km from Bangalore, Agumbe may be a high altitude village within the Malnad region of Karnataka and is usually mentioned as “The Cherrapunji of the South” due to its scenic beauty and biodiversity. It also comprises of the many medicinal plants and is home to the sole Rainforest Research Station in India. Surrounded by the majestic mountains of the Western Ghats, covered in depths of lowland rainforests and touched by beautiful waterfalls and streams, Agumbe is that the perfect place for a trek.
